Gotta love GM and their run around on quality and passing the buck. I am very surprised the engineer did not say it was designed that way to allow more airflow to the engine compartment. I have bought (most were special ordered) over 50 new Chev & GMC trucks since 1961/62 (GMC 3/4 ton 4 speed V6- real stump puller) and have a new Yukon Denali on order, as well as currently owning two GMC Denali's (3500HD CC Duramax 4WD & Yukon), and have almost given up on GM. Their excuses for simple problems and fixes have gotten to be too much for the money we pay for these things. t
