Concerns with RST Running Boards

Anyone else with an RST or the RST style running boards concerned about they will hold up over time? They are essentially molded plastic with a plastic/rubbery step surface. I have owned mine for less than a month and have already noticed that the surface will scratch easily just due to whatever might be on the bottom of your shoe (sand, gravel, etc.) while stepping into and out of the vehicle. Seems like a poor design for long term hold-up. I could see myself removing them down the road. Just wondering if anyone else has the same concerns with the design/style of these running boards.

Yeah, I thought the same thing on my RST...they scuff easily, my 2019 Tahoe was essentially the same. I just use Adam's VRT on them and they shine up pretty good, doesn't get all the scratches out but hides them pretty good.

Good to know. Thanks!

I have a similar concern with the sill plate area at the base of the doors. Wish someone would make some stainless replacement or overlay!

Might be able to put some clear 3m PPF on it. My last Tahoe had it too and it does get scuffed. I actually step over that and my running boards, its the other people getting in my car I'm worried about. Especially my kids...LOL
