I have a 2021 Yukon Denali 6.2L 10-speed trans. Mfg Date 12/20

So far my Yukon has performed perfectly and I have no complaints, but I have heard all the horror stories about failed lifters. I'm now wondering about disabling the DFM to extend the lifter life and try to avoid this type of failure. Is it true that the cylinder deactivation only occurs when cruising in 10th speed? Is it a viable solution to avoid the 10th speed and drive no higher than L9? Will this prevent the DFM from actuating without harming the transmission?

I understand they don't make a disabling module for 2021 & 2022 models so this is not an option.
