Yes, finally completed the deal. The person that was supposed to buy my Kia Stinger couldn't get financing, so he backed out. The dealership then asked where I needed to be on my Stinger. I replied with, "My Stinger, plus $18k for the 2021 Tahoe Z71." My Stinger was fully paid for. They agreed to the deal, but then I got cold feet, and said no. Two days later (on Monday of this week), we landed on $16k out-of-pocket from me, plus my Stinger. According to the paperwork (please see attached screenshot), they gave me $45,631 for my Stinger. Considering I paid only $39,420 for it, I was happy with $45,631. Please see attached screenshot as proof that I paid $39,420 for my Stinger.
Now, that all being said, they, of course, they upped the purchase price of the Tahoe to $61,631 (this price includes the $199 doc fee, and the $1000 Costco rebate). Please see attached screenshot. That price, less my trade, landed me at exactly $16k out-of-pocket, out-the-door. Here in Missouri, we pay sales taxes at the DMV when we title our vehicles. I will owe taxes on the $16k. Since we are a Republican state, I only have to pay taxes on the $16k. If I lived in Illinois, I'd owe taxes on the window sticker MSRP.
So, bottom line, the way I look at it, I paid $55,420 for my 2021 Z71 Tahoe. I arrived at this number by taking $39,420 that I paid for my Stinger, plus the $16k I put down, which equals exactly $55,420. Hope this math makes sense

. Also, no loan on this sucker! Paid the $16k with a personal check. Sure feels good!
Attached are two pics of my new Tahoe! It's a beast! Can't believe how high up it sits! I love it! Really like the color, too!
The first pic below is my Stinger deal. The second pic is my Tahoe deal.
Hope this helps others in getting the best deal possible!
Thanks!
