Jonny Lieberman from Motor Trend is currently reviewing the Suburban Z71 for Motor Trend.

New ‘Burban!!! My first drive review of the all-new, giganticer than ever, SHOCKINGLY good to drive, Chevrolet Suburban is LIVE! on @motortrend and/or Link in Bio. For the review, I only drove the 5.3-liter V8. After I turned in my copy I drove the 6.2-liter V8. I’ll say this: the 10-speed automatic is programmed so damn well that either V8 is great. Sure, if you stomp it, the 6.2-liter is more explosive. But for around the town type driving, the 5.3-liter feels strong. The 3.0-liter Duramax diesel isn’t quite ready, though I impressed upon Chevy just how much I’d like to give it a go. Soon, I’ve been assured. 😎 The combination of an independent rear end, air springs, and magnetic dampers truly is world class suspension tech. Naturally GM buried it. I told @cortinamiguel to try and find the control that switches from Normal to Sport to Off-Road to Tow. He was in the car for an hour. COULD NOT FIND IT. Chevy assures me it is currently fixing that issue. 👎👍 Overall, the new ‘Burban remains the XXL king of taking 7 people, ALL their stuff, and going anywhere. Just needs a bit of polishing.
